The boar’s head brand has a long tradition. In 1700, Karl-Dietrich von Hardenberg founded the Gräflich von Hardenberg’sche Kornbrennerei distillery at the foot of the medieval ruins of Hardenberg Castle. The korn distilled there ever since is considered the ancestor of all korn brands in Germany. Then as now, the estate and its agricultural activities provide important raw materials for the distillation of spirits. To this today, our master distillers use a top-secret recipe that has been passed down through the Hardenberg family from generation to generation. The love, quality, and care are evident in every single bottle – Carl Graf von Hardenberg personally vouches for it with his name. Over the years, the Hardenberg product range has been steadily expanded. In addition to traditional korn, the product range now also includes liqueurs such as Schwartzhog and Persico, and the “fun spirit” Kleiner Keiler.
