Templeton Rye Whiskey matures in strongly flamed American oak barrels, at least 4 years for the „aged 4 years" whiskey with 40% vol. and at least 6 years for the slightly more powerful aged 6 years whiskey with 45. 75% vol.
Both have in common the wonderful amber colour, the aroma of honey and wood, the taste of rye, fruit and dark chocolate and a very long finish which tends to get drier and drier.
